EP34 – Freedom of Remote WordPress Work with Jon Brown – WPblab

This week on WPblab, Bridget Willard & Jason Tucker speak with Jon Brown about his life as a nomad, being the remote boss and working with remote workers. We also get into travel, dealing with slow wifi, having redundant internet access when abroad and his collection of cellular phone sim cards.

Later in the show, we are joined by Russell Aaron and Made Better Studio to ask some questions live on the air.

    I don’t know if they fixed but Trello had a major issue. If someone deletes a board it’s gone for good.

  32. Rachelle Wise Avatar

    Need to set boundaries and expectations upfront.

  33. Bridget Willard Avatar

    @AdamThomson Good Q!

  34. Adam Thomson Avatar

    I was late to the party so y’all may have talked about it already, but what are people’s favourite website(s) for remote WordPress work contracts? I get a lot of work via work of mouth, and have more than I can deal with as it is, but I have to wonder if I’m missing out on something awesome…

  35. Made Better Studio Avatar

    I’d love to hop on and ask a Q if @enqueue_russ is willing to share the limelight..

  36. Bridget Willard Avatar

    Great questions Russ!

  37. Adam Thomson Avatar

    ALSO what are the things you always take with you? Like I always have my visual diary, tablet, external hdd, copy of my contract, camera, usb cables, and a couple of nice pens.

  38. Bridget Willard Avatar

    @enqueue_russ Oh good idea.

  39. Jason Tucker Avatar

    Any good whiteboard solutions?

  40. Bridget Willard Avatar

    @jasontucker 90% of our meetings are based on a Google Doc / Slide with each other and clients. 🙂

  41. Adam Thomson Avatar

    I feel like I just leveled up.
