I worked at a paper for 8 years. We always spoke in “inches” — Give me 15 inches on the gamer.

You’ll find most 15-inch news stories are only about 500 words.

God that’s scary Russell’s thoughts on paper

I wrote a monster feature story for a site last year, I got it down to 2,200 words … why? readers will seriously drift off after about 1,500 if you don’t have them hooked into the story.
