ACF flex content is the closest thing to what I believe a page builder should be. The problem is the interface of building out the page.

Maybe everyone could agree page builders are useful on a case by case basis? Ideal for some, definitely not for all, and never for people that want to charge for all maintenance…

I’d argue that visual composer is more overkill than ACF for that.

BB is better than others regarding shortcodes. Maybe not perfect, but veyr good.
