Q we have a lot of people who “belong” to our meetup group in Pittsburgh, but we have a hard time getting more than 10 people to actually attend a meetup. How can we increase participation?

  23. Ken Kramer Avatar

We hope our meetup grows after our WordCamp (we only get 5 – 10 people at a meetup) but we have over 100 signed up….

  24. Verious Smith III Avatar

@bamadesigner question was: what should someone wanting to start a Meetup do?

  25. Ken Kramer Avatar

We are in same situation as @PappyOyler

  26. Rachel Carden Avatar

  31. Paul Oyler Avatar

we have done several “happiness bar” style meetups and we have 10 – 12 people show up

  32. Paul Oyler Avatar

Our frist WC is this Spet, so maybe that will help?

  33. Shawn Hooper Avatar

@PappyOyler We always do a Happiness Bar at the end of each meetup. Have “experts” (hate that word) offer to stick around after the main presentation to help for 20 minutes or so.
